As the longest outdoor hotel pool in the city, we offer space to bask or lounge with friends, all while never leaving the comforts of Brooklyn. Refuel with a refreshing poolside menu from Chef Andrew Carmellini's NoHo Hospitality Group, serving up classic bites and specialty cocktails.
Hotel guests are invited to reserve complimentary terrace lounge chairs throughout their stay to enjoy every moment of our summer festivities. For those craving the ultimate indulgence, our oversized cabanas and relaxing daybeds are available for booking. Hotel guests receive exclusive discounted rates for premium seating.

What are your hours of operation?

Where is the pool located?
The pool is located on the fourth floor of The William Vale.
Is the pool heated?
Yes, the pool is heated at 80 degrees.
I am a hotel guest. Do I have to pay to use the pool?
Hotel guests have the following options for pool seating:
1. Complimentary Chaise Seating: Hotel registered guests have access to complimentary chaise seating. Poolside chaise seating is on a first come first serve basis, otherwise terrace side chaise seating is available. Reservations are required for the chaise seating. Please note first and last names must be registered to their room to access Vale Pool. Hotel registered guests are limited to one 3-hour pool reservation slot per day during their stay. Time slots for the chaise seating are as follows:
8:00am-10:15am
10:30am-1:30pm
1:45pm-4:45pm
5:00pm-8:00pm
2. Premium Seating: Hotel registered guests have access to discounted rates through Destination Pass for Premium Seating.
Can I extend my pool reservation?
Yes by purchasing a premium seating reservation. Premium seating is available in your choice of a cabana, reclining daybeds, lounge bed, pergola or sofa.

What are the pool reservation seating time slots?
Chaise lounge chairs are complimentary for guests by reservation only. Guests may make 1 pool reservation per day during their stay. Our time slot reservations allow 15-minute intervals for our pool staff to sanitize pool seating after each guest use.
Time slots are as follows:

I have a hotel reservation. Can we use the pool before check-in and after check-out?
You are welcome to use the pool as a hotel guest. Pool access is available for hotel guests starting at 8am on the day of their check-in until 10:15am on the day of their check out. Guests may only book complimentary seating from 8am-10.15am on their check-out date. This ensures guests checking in that day should have full availability to access to the pool prior to their check-in.
Premium seating is available for purchase. Purchase of premium seating provides access for the entire day from 8am to 8pm. Guests may purchase premium seating on the day of their check out if available.
Can I walk in?
All pool bookings must be reserved in advance.
I'm a hotel guest and my friends who live nearby want to come to the pool. Can they come with me?
Hotel guests cannot bring outside guests with them if they have complimentary reservations (3-hour chaise lounge chair reservations.) If a guest has a premium reservation like a cabana, they can bring outside guests up to the capacity of the seating. Each guest must be registered when the reservation is made (no swapping of guests is permitted).
I am not staying at the hotel, but I would like to use the pool. Can I do that?

Is the pool deck sanitary?
Our time slot reservations allow a 15-minute interval for our staff to sanitize pool seating after each guest use.
Do you offer pool memberships?
At this time, we will not be offering pool memberships.
Do you serve food and beverage?
Food is offered between 8am-6pm daily.
Beverage is offered between 11am-7pm.
Can we bring outside food to the pool?
Unfortunately, outside food and beverage is not permitted at the Vale Pool.
I am a guest of the hotel and want to bring my kids to the pool. Can I do that?
Children also staying at the hotel are most welcome at Vale Pool. Children under 16 years of age must be accompanied by an adult at all times. Only registered hotel guests may visit the pool and the number of total guests is limited to the room reservation.
Standard King, Gotham King, and Gotham Queen allows 2 guests to register.
All Suites, Double Double, and Vale Garden Residence room categories allows 4 guests to register.
*Must have first and last name of each guest registered to room for access to the Pool.
Can I bring my pet to the pool?
No pets are allowed at Vale Pool.
What is your cancellation policy?
Premium seating can be cancelled by 8am on the day prior to your reservation with no penalty. If a premium seating reservation is not cancelled, and the guest(s) does not show, the full cost of the seating will be charged.
Premium seating booked for Memorial Day, 4th of July, and Labor Day weekends must be cancelled 7 days prior to the date of the reservation to receive a full refund. Any cancellations after this period will result in the full cost of the seating being charged.
Full refunds will be given if the pool is closed for the day due to rain. We will treat any partial closures due to inclement weather on a case-by-case basis, and refund reservations accordingly.
What if the weather doesn’t cooperate?

Is there a lifeguard on duty?
Yes. There is a lifeguard daily from 8am-8pm.
Are there showers?
We provide outdoor showers, to rinse off before or after entering the pool. Shampoo, soap, and other beauty products are not permitted. Only 1 guest at a time is permitted to use the shower.
Are there lockers and/or changing rooms?
We do not provide lockers. All guests are responsible for their belongings. Individual stalls for changing are located at the fourth floor bathrooms.
Are there saunas and hot tubs at the pool?
There are 2 saunas and 2 hot tubs available this summer at the Vale Pool. Reservations must be made to use either amenity.

Can I book sauna + hot tub experience at the same time?
No Sauna + Hot Tub appointment will be offered; however, guests may book back-to-back Sauna/Hot Tub appointments to experience both amenities.
Sauna/hot tub appointments can only be booked if the guest has an existing Vale Pool reservation (premium or complimentary seating). Guests who book complimentary seating may only book a Spa appointment during the Vale Pool timeslot they are booked in.

What is the price for Daypass if I am not staying at the hotel?
Day passes may be purchased by external guests Mon-Thurs only through ResortPass. A limited number of seating options will be offered.
