November 11, 2020 Local Guide to
Williamsburg, Brooklyn
As a local neighborhood hotel, we wanted to compile a list of exciting activities for Brooklynites and visitors alike to enjoy this month in Williamsburg. These recommendations come from our very own concierge team.
Brooklyn Brewery Taproom
The Brooklyn Brewery Taproom is open once more! Brooklyn's namesake beer can be tasted Thursday and Friday from 4pm to 8pm and Saturday and Sunday from 2pm to 8pm. Pop in for a beer right across from The William Vale.
Greenpoint Public Library
Greenpoint Public Library has finally reopened last month after being closed since 2017 for a major renovation. The new and improved institution "serves as both a full-service library and a community hub for environmental awareness, activism and education." as told by Brooklyn Public Library. Perfect timing to either virtually or physically borrow that book you've been meaning to read as you're getting cozy indoors.
Hatchets and Hops
Just around the block from The William Vale, you'll find your new favorite spot for axe-throwing and beer-drinking, Hachets and Hops. Gather your group of 4 or more pals for a 2-hour throwing session or a smaller gaggle of 4 or fewer for a half-hour session all led by a trained axe-throwing guide. Take your pick from 8 to 10 rotating beer and cider taps accompanied your favorite pub-style foods!
Strange Ways
From Chef Ken Addington of Five Leaves, a Greenpoint neighborhood staple, comes a rustic new-american style restaurant in North Williamsburg. Strange Ways boasts to host you in "a rain-proof HEATED sanctuary that isn’t a sidewalk". This outdoor only cafe is spacious enough to enjoy with friends and vibey enough for date night as well.
